Let's face it, just about everybody could do with a few hours of extra exercise in their life. Why not take advantage of the opportunity to bond with your partner and exercise together? Not only will it bring the two of you closer, but will also make you feel and look great! These are all great relationship strengtheners. So on the next Saturday or Sunday afternoon when you're trying to figure out something to do, use one of the great ideas below. Once you start doing activities together, you'll see how easy it is to incorporate fitness into your daily routines and how much you'll look forward to spending that time with your partner.

Tennis and racquetball are great sports for couples. (And to play with another couple!) While playing you can learn how much of a competitive drive they have and the way they react to certain situations. Places to play: a local tennis club, YMCA courts (or other public courts), high school or college, your gym. If you don't know how to play, take lessons together or hire a personal trainer.

For the romantic, hiking might be a better alternative. Don't forget to bring a backpack filled with romantic goodies so you can settle down and watch the sunset or sunrise with a nice romantic meal!

If the hiking seems a bit too adventurous for you, take a romantic stroll along the beach, lake or park.

To make a day of your exercise period, make a list of the places that you have been meaning to visit. Then get the brochures and maps that you will need. Once you've created your romantic itineraries, pick a new place to go each weekend.

If the idea of dancing 'till dawn appeals to you, take a few dance lessons and learn the romantic classics. Tango, mamba or salsa your way into your lover's heart!

Spend some quiet time getting to know each better over a round of golf (mini-golf if necessary). Finish your tee time by having a nice lunch at a nearby restaurant or country club.

During the summer months enjoy each other's closeness with a day of swimming and barbecue! Most romantics will agree not much can top this activity!

If you're looking for something to do in the winter months, plan a weekend ski getaway. Make sure to reserve a hotel that has a hot tub and fireplace in the room. You may not even need to leave the room to get your exercise!

Weight training can be another fun exercise for couples. Be each other's motivator and help with lifting that "last one."

Lastly, experiment with your own creativeness and see how many ways you can incorporate exercise into your next date. A healthy body and attitude go a long way in helping to improve a relationship. Who knows, you might even feel confident enough to do that strip dance for your partner yet!
